When delivering leaflets, check for hazards (loose pavement, brambles, dogs etc.) before entering the garden.
Just avoid problematic properties.
Do not insert your hand into the letter box, or a dog may bite!
Carry sticking plasters and antiseptic wipes.
Some letter boxes have stiff bristles – loosely folding the leaflets helps.
Push the leaflets in completely – don't leave them hanging out.
Carry the leaflets in a bag with a shoulder strap – you need both hands free.
Take refreshments with you – don't become dehydrated.
Stay on the path / driveway where possible.
Leave the gate in the position you found it.
Be respectful and friendly if you meet anyone.
Make a note of the streets covered. A printed map is necessary.
